Telluride is quickly rising in the ranks as a world-class mountain biking destination, where dozens of trails for all ability levels are maintained. Telluride is home to a variety of designated biking trails as well as makeshift trails.

During the summer and warmer months, Telluride Ski Resort becomes a destination for bikers looking for scenic and challenging routes. The resort makes it easy for bikers by outfitting the free gondolas with bike racks. Telluride and Mountain Village trails are accessible from the San Sophia Station. Be sure to pick up a trail map at the gondola station.

Designated trails include Bridal Veil Falls, Alta Lakes, Meadows Area Trails, Ophir Pass, San Miguel River Trail, and so many more. You can explore along mining roads or take the challenging route over the valley’s former railroad tracks. You’ll often see enthusiastic bikers biking along the San Juan Skyway as well.
