Telluride Ski Resort is located in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado with the highest concentration of 13,000 and 14,000 foot peaks in North America. The Telluride Ski Resort is rated the # 1 ski resort in North America by Condé Nast for the 3rd year in a row. Telluride’s scenery and terrain is legendary with the reputation as the best with varying terrain from true beginner to extreme- advanced. Telluride offers skiers and riders a premier winter playground with an average of more than 300 inches of snow annually and 2,000 skiable acres for all abilities. 

Telluride Ski Resort encompasses 125 trails with 23% designated as beginner, 36% intermediate, and 41% advanced, 18 lifts with a lift capacity of 22,386 skiers per hour, and 4,425 feet of vertical drop. The resort is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For first time skiers or seasoned skiers wanting to learn new techniques, Telluride Ski Resort offers ski and snowboard lessons for children and adults. Ski instruction is available to children ages 3 – 14 through the Children’s Ski & Snowboard School and snowboarding is taught to children ages 7 – 14.

Child care is also available on the mountain for toddlers, infants, or children too young to ski. The nursery does provide lessons and activities to introduce your children to the mountain without spending the whole day outside.

For adults, skiers and snowboarders can participate in group lessons ranging from max 4 classes for more intimate instruction to beginner classes to perfect skiing techniques and acclimate to Telluride’s terrain. Private lessons are available through school and include express lift lanes, video analysis, and access to multilingual instructors.
