Paul O’Rourke has lived in Colorado since graduating from the University of Wisconsin in 1972. Paul received his MA in U.S. History (with a minor in Historic Preservation) in 1979 from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He has authored two books on Colorado History and has written dozens of history articles for Telluride Magazine since 1999.
Paul has been married to Melinda, an ophthalmologist, for 35 years, and they have two children, Davis (32) and Catherine (28). Despite the fact that all of the O’Rourke’s consider the Denver area their principal residence, Telluride has been their home away from home since the early 1980s.
Since 2015 Paul’s real estate business has focused primarily on the Denver market, with particular emphasis on acquiring under-appreciated homes in developing neighborhoods and then selling or leasing those same properties following extensive renovation.
